Who this article is for:
Families with young kids planning a Tokyo Disney Resort trip and wondering if Tokyo Disneyland Hotel is worth it.
What you’ll learn:
Practical tips for making the most of your stay, firsthand insights from over 10 visits, and why this hotel’s location and amenities make it a game-changer for parents.

Our 3-Day Disney Stay Before Arriving Here

On day one, we stayed at Fantasy Springs Hotel and spent the next day at DisneySea, followed by a night at Toy Story Hotel.
Day three was all about Disneyland—and that’s when we checked into our long-time favorite, Tokyo Disneyland Hotel.

We wanted to use Happy Entry for 15-minute early admission, so we left the hotel about 30 minutes before the official park opening. While Happy Entry lets you breeze through the gate in minutes, security checks can create long lines, especially on weekends during Halloween or Christmas season. My tip? Arrive at least 30 minutes before opening to avoid stress.

Day 3 – Tokyo Disneyland + Tokyo Disneyland Hotel Stay

PM 4:00 – Sugar Rush Parade ends
👉 We headed straight to our room thanks to online check-in. The hotel is just a 2–3 minute walk from the park gate, making it incredibly convenient, especially in bad weather or when traveling with kids.

PM 5:00 – Quick stop at the hotel’s convenience store. My daughter’s go-to dinner is udon eaten in the room—light and easy compared to the park’s generally salty or oily foods. Park restaurants start getting crowded around 5 p.m., so spending this time in the room is a win for both comfort and efficiency.

PM 7:00 – My daughter and I went back to the park while my husband enjoyed a relaxing evening with drinks in the room. During the Electrical Parade, rides were nearly empty, so we rode as much as we could before returning close to closing time.

PM 11:00 – Lights out. Without the midday nap, there’s no way my daughter could have stayed cheerful until this hour. While hotels close to Disneyland may cost more, the proximity is essential for kids with limited stamina to truly enjoy the park.

Day 4 – Slow Morning & A Touch of Wonderland

AM 8:00 – Woke up naturally and enjoyed a simple breakfast in the room.

AM 10:00 – Took a leisurely stroll through Alice Garden, the hotel’s whimsical courtyard inspired by Alice in Wonderland. Even without entering the park, it’s a lovely way to feel the Disney magic one last time before leaving.

Colorful immersive art room at teamLab, vibrant spheres covering walls and floor

AM 11:30 – Checked out and walked from the hotel to Maihama Station. From there, we headed to teamLab Planets Tokyo in Toyosu for one final family adventure before going home.

Why We Love Staying at a Disney Hotel

Tokyo Disneyland Station of the Resort Liner right outside tokyo disneyland hotel
  • Unbeatable location – Right in front of Disneyland’s gate and next to the Resort Liner station, so you can reach DisneySea in just 5–10 minutes. Perfect for little legs that tire easily.
  • Kid-friendly amenities – Free kids’ pajamas made from soft, towel-like fabric are a hit with my daughter—even at 150 cm, she still orders the L size. The 1st-floor convenience store offers kid-friendly meals like udon for easy in-room dinners.
  • Stress-free breaks – Being steps away lets you return for naps during peak crowds. When my daughter was 3–5, this was a lifesaver for avoiding meltdowns and enjoying the park until closing.

The Alcove Room – Top Pick for Value and Kid Happiness

My daughter’s favorite cozy alcove room at tokyo disneyland hotel

When you balance cost with how much your child will love it, the Alcove Room is hard to beat. Its playful design, complete with a cozy built-in bed nook, sparks kids’ imaginations and gives them a special space of their own. For parents, it offers excellent value—accommodating up to four guests with two twin beds, the alcove bed, and a pull-out trundle—making it both budget-friendly (for a Disney hotel) and full of magic for the little ones.

Final Thoughts

For families, Tokyo Disneyland Hotel is more than a place to stay—it’s a smart base that lets you manage energy, skip long lines, and enjoy Disney magic from morning till night. The convenience, amenities, and comfort make it worth every visit.
