✍️Day 1 – Arrival & Easy Start

Illustrated map of Maihama area showing Maihama Station, Welcome Center, Resort Gateway Station, and Ikspiari — helpful Tokyo Disneyland access guide.

We arrived at Maihama in the afternoon and first stopped at the Welcome Center, where we sent our luggage ahead and completed online check-in. With our hands free, we walked to Ikspiari to pick up breakfast for the next morning. This time, we chose the bakery Antique, where our daughter was delighted by a cute snake-shaped bread.

At 3:00 PM, we checked into the Fantasy Springs Hotel. Instead of rushing into the parks, we spent the evening exploring the hotel: strolling through the courtyard, enjoying the views from the balcony next to the lobby, and browsing the hotel gift shop. It was the perfect relaxed start before a big park day, and we went to bed early to recharge for the adventures ahead.

💡Family Tip: If you’re staying at a Disney hotel, you can check in at the Maihama Welcome Center and drop off your luggage. This saves energy and gives kids a smoother start.

✍️ Day 2 – Tokyo DisneySea Plan

Entrance to Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure in Tokyo DisneySea plan, with short lines just after park opening.

The scene at Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure just before park opening — guests already lining up, but the wait is still very short.

On our second day, we headed to Tokyo DisneySea. Staying at the Toy Story Hotel gave us Happy Entry, so we arrived at the dedicated gate 30 minutes before opening and entered 15 minutes early. That extra time let us enjoy the brand-new Fantasy Springs area without heavy crowds.

  • Morning: Right after entering, we secured Disney Premier Access (DPA) for Frozen Journey and the Believe! Sea of Dreams nighttime spectacular. While the park was still quiet, we enjoyed Peter Pan’s Never Land AdventureIndiana Jones Adventure, and Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies.
  • Lunch: We had a reservation at Magellan’s, often considered the best dining experience in Tokyo DisneySea—and it lived up to the reputation.
Exclusive Fantasy Springs Hotel guest gate, offering direct access between Tokyo DisneySea and Toy Story Hotel.
  • Afternoon: Tried the Leonardo Challenge adventure game and rode Finding Nemo SeaRider. By around 3:00 PM, we were ready for a break and checked in at the Toy Story Hotel for some rest.
  • Evening: After dinner, we returned to DisneySea via the Resort Line and entered through the main gate. We watched Believe! Sea of Dreams from our reserved seats, then enjoyed evening rides like the Flying Carpets and the attractions at Mermaid Lagoon—much shorter lines at night.

💡Family Tips:

  • The smartest way to avoid crowds is to take a hotel break during the busiest midday hours and enjoy attractions at night when lines are shorter.
  • If your first night is at the Fantasy Springs Hotel, you can conveniently exit through the Fantasy Springs gate and head directly to the Toy Story Hotel the next day.

✍️ Day 3 – Tokyo Disneyland with Kids

Limited-time Wreck-It Ralph parade float at Tokyo Disneyland with kids, full of colorful details.

On Day 3, we switched to Tokyo Disneyland. We left the Toy Story Hotel 45 minutes before opening and arrived at the gate 30 minutes early. Thanks to Happy Entry, we entered the park 15 minutes before the general crowd.

  • Morning: Just like the previous day, we purchased a Disney Premier Access (DPA) for the parade reserved seating as soon as we entered. Then we took family photos at the limited-time Wreck-It Ralph photo spot—a rare chance to shoot with no lines during early entry. After photos, we rode Pooh’s Hunny Hunt, followed by Big Thunder MountainJungle Cruise, and Haunted Mansion.
  • Lunch: At 11:00 AM, we had a reservation at Japanese Dining Hokusai. Thanks to the Disney hotel guest benefit, we were seated almost immediately with almost no wait. The seafood rice bowls, tempura, and tonkatsu were delicious and gave us a nice break before heading back to the rides.
  • Afternoon: Continued enjoying rides before heading to our reserved DPA seats for the limited-time Wreck-It Ralph parade. Rain shortened the performance, but the characters were adorable, and our daughter’s excitement was off the charts.
Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade at night, a highlight of any Tokyo Disney Resort itinerary.
  • Late Afternoon: After the parade ended around 4:00 PM, we checked into the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel and enjoyed a rest. Dinner was simple—convenience store food in our room—before heading back to the park at 7:00 PM.
  • Evening: Instead of watching the Electrical Parade, we used that time to ride Star Tours and enjoy attractions in Toontown. Parade time meant shorter lines for rides—perfect for ride-loving families. We stayed until closing, returned to the hotel, and ended the night with a hot bath.

💡Family Tips:

  • During nighttime parades, ride wait times drop significantly—so if your family prefers attractions over shows, this is your golden window.
  • Early entry is the best time for family photos at seasonal spots without the crowds.
  • Eating an early lunch (around 10:30) helps you avoid long restaurant lines, or use Mobile Ordering for restaurants—this saves you from waiting in long queues and lets you pick up meals at your convenience.
  • The Electrical Parade is one of the park’s biggest highlights, but it’s also the best chance to enjoy rides with the shortest wait times.

Day 4 – Relaxed Morning & TeamLab Planets

Interactive digital art at TeamLab Planets in Toyosu, a unique side trip within a family trip Tokyo Disney Resort.

After three full park days, we took it slow on our last morning. Thanks to the 12:00 late check-out at the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel, we had plenty of time to recharge.

  • Picked up breakfast from the hotel’s convenience store and enjoyed it in our room while our daughter watched the Disney Channel.
  • Took a peaceful stroll through the Alice Garden and did some last-minute shopping at the hotel gift store.
  • Checked out calmly around noon.

In the afternoon, we visited TeamLab Planets in Toyosu, a digital art museum that offers a completely different type of magic from Disney.

Final Thoughts

Our 3 nights 4 days Tokyo Disney Resort itinerary gave us the perfect balance of park excitement and family downtime. By using Happy Entry, taking breaks at our Disney hotels, and saving certain attractions for the evening, we avoided major crowds and kept our daughter happy throughout the trip.

If you’re planning a family trip to Tokyo Disney Resort, remember: pacing is everything. Don’t feel pressured to do it all in one go—focus on what your kids will enjoy most, and give yourself time to rest. That’s how the magic feels stress-free.
